Random Observation # 033

Everyone is encouraged to read more books. For more books to be read, more paper has to be made. For more paper to be made, more trees have to be cut down. If more trees are cut down, it causes more environmental issues.

So why is everyone still encouraged to read more books?

My 2 cents to the environment

I have slowly started to use this site for all my net searches.
Am somehow convinced about the "science" behind this initiative.
And if its indeed true, I feel happy that my blog's background is also a dark one.

Random Jotting # 011

Which is worse:

1. Using paper to wipe your wet hands (Paper comes from trees; more demand for paper means more trees would be cut; which is not good for the environment)

or

2. Using the electric hand drier (Uses electricity; more demand for electricity means more natural resources would be used for generating power; which means tampering with nature at a faster pace; which is not good for the environment).
