Since Super Thumby posted a picture of his kolam work, I had to bring out the communist kolam that my mother drew yesterday. ensoy....

and oh, if u wondering what i mean by communist kolam.... just remember the ancient kadi joke:

Yikes. Quite a nasty blade. Now, I wonder... why do all the iyer folk paint LK's feet like a "8". I think they are all trying to creatively convey that LK would have invariably roosted high up in some tree with the undergarments of the village ladies. So, when food was offered, he would have jumped down from the tree, twisting an ankle and breaking some bones in the process. Hence the "8prints".
