After the journey resumed, I went along the route recommended by Raghu. But I had to stop for fuel for my car. Once again Raghu had strongly recommended an IOC bunk that was on the way. He gave me the exact location and lots of other details about the place.
One thing he forgot to mention, though, was that they don't accept credit cards. Thankfully, I had enough cash on hand to close that transaction. But it left me without much cash for the remainder of the trip.
After seeing a saving of nearly Rs.200 (approx. Rs.6 per litre), we set forth with the hope to stop only at Chidambaram next. I somehow managed to achieve that target by noon.
I got a good parking spot near the temple and the parking lot attendant hurriedly issued us the token and asked to rush to the temple, since the darshan would be available only for 15 more minutes.
By the time we went inside the temple, we found that the "nadai:" had been saathufied. We made enquiries about when the temple would be opened in the evening and found out that it would open around 5.
While leaving the temple, we ran into Mr.Murthy, my dear Car Doctor. We exchanged pleasantries, got introduced to his family comprising of his wife, baby boy, mother and cousins.
Once outside, we realised that it was around 12.30. Raghu had once again recommended a "hotel" near this temple, to have lunch.
The next post is going to be about the experiences there and I can assure you that it has slightly more interesting events to read about.
