One end of Chennai to the other

Two of my ex-colleagues are getting married tomorrow. To each other. They claim that it is as traditional an arranged marriage as possible. I don't refute their statement. But my doubt is only about who arranged it! ;)
I would like to attend their wedding and the reception, but the basic problem is the location of the wedding hall. It is in Padi. The place is like 30-40 Kms North of my house. And my office in Mahindra City is like 50 Kms south of my house. Even factoring geometrical variations, I am looking at a travel of at least 80 Kms on Monday morning.
And I cant take leave tomorrow, so the question of simply attending the wedding and then relaxing at home is ruled out too.
So the best solution is to attend the reception this evening itself. But poor guys, hardly 4-5 from work would be attending their wedding. What else can one expect if the wedding is on a working day and the hall is on the Andhra border eh?
And I had to go to office yesterday. Spend quite some time there as well. Though I reached there only around 12.45PM, I was able to leave only around 8.45PM. That effectively ruined all my evening plans of 'kadamai' with my friends.
With the reception trip planned for this evening, effectively I will be having a dull weekend after quite some time.
